Artist Profile

Edith Graciela Sanabria is a multitalented artist, painter, jewelry designer, published writer and poet.

She participated in different shows in the area of Washington D.C. area.  Her paintings and designs were sold in different International shows in Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy and Spain.

Her love to art was inherited from her family and ancestors, painters, jewelers, poets.  She is a self taught artist.  She says :”I like to play with colors, textures, gems, metals, words and express freely, thanks to my family and friends that encouraged my artistic expressions”.

​

She is an active member of different art associations in the area of Washington DC: “The Poetry Society of Virginia”,” Poets Anonymous in Fairfax”,” Artisans Del Ray”,” Torpedo Factory”, “Collectivo la palabra” of  Washington D.C. 

Grace Press Published her two books of bilingual poetry:  one for children Spirit of the Andes, and Latin American Soul for adults.

She has exhibited her paintings in the” Arts Club of Washington”, “ Lee Arts Center in Arlington”, “Borders Book in Pentagon City”, “ Arlington County Fair”, “ Martin Luther King Central Library Washington D.C.”, “Arlington Central Library in Arlington Virginia”, “The World Bank”,  “Organization of American States” ,  The Inter-American Development Bank”,  Torpedo Factory in Alexandria Va.”

Her poetry was published and translated in England, Brazil, and India in different anthologies of the United States.

Edith art was featured in the Washington Post, Alexandria Gazette, El Tiempo Latino, Washington Hispanic.

She was recorded videos in Chanel 5, Comcast and 60 Minutes.

Her art is inspired by Nature and the desire to express her passion about the work of safe environment for future generations.

She is working in a project of Pre-Colombian art and promote the education at all levels .
